Happy Birthday Miss Buggy!!

Well this week marks the amazing 12 years we have had our bug in our lives.  She has been an amazing child.  So much has been going on in the last few months.  Some of our many great joys have been that she had a great school year and pulled a 4.0 gpa.  She is very smart.  About 2 months ago she went to go get an allergy skin test but they wouldn't give it to her because she was diagnosed with Asthma and we needed to get it under control before the testing.  So a few weeks later and feeling much better we did the skin test for the seasonal allergies and there was only 2 spots that weren't red and big.  So needless to say we are doing allergy shots right now, twice a week for now.  She is doing better with her allergies.
We have been going to a counselor about her eating issues, we have finally narrowed it down to atleast a daignosis.....she has an intense phobia of eating foods.  Trying new food or foods she is scared of is as real to her as anyone's fear of spiders, height or anything else.  We are going to get her on some anxiety medicine so that our next step will be to try and desensitise her.  Our goal is to  tackle this eating issue before her MRKH becomes more of a reality to her.  That is a lot to deal with on top of dealing with being borderline anerexia.
I have had several comments about how we should let her deal with it in her own terms and to not stress.  When I first wrote the blog, we had just found out.  The feelings are real and intense.  As it has been almost 10 months since we found out, we have learned and changes so much.  To tell you the truth, right now her MRKH is the least of our worries.  We take each issue and deal with it as a family and with faith and love.  As a parent you want the best for your children and you want to take the pain away from all future consequences that will happen in their lives.  But, as a parent we can  prepare them on how to deal with life and to deal with the struggles that will come, and have faith that we taught them well enough.
As for now, we bask in the joy that our Miss Buggy brings into our lives.  Her sunshine and her amazing personality will lift her and us up in times of need and strength.  We spent out anniversary in the hospital but I knew she would come on her own day because her spirit was so strong and vibrant.  She made her appearance at 12:08 AM the next day.  She keeps us smiling and full of joy all the time.  I love her so very much.  She is turning into an amazing and beautiful young woman.
